
This year, the event is accepting entries from students and aspiring young energy industry professionals for its Young Gastech 2019 programme.
The Young Gastech programme provides an opportunity for students and young energy professionals. The programme is open to students from all degree backgrounds interested in pursuing a career in the gas sector.
“In 2014, I was selected as the winner of the [Young Gastech] essay competition during its founding year,” said Laura Musick, Director of Business Development, Asia Pacific Oil & Gas at Black & Veatch.
“My experience at Gastech opened my eyes to the global possibilities of the Oil & Gas sector and strengthened my desire to broaden my work experience.”
The 2019 programme will address the talent crisis and the benefits that a diversified, modern workforce brings to the energy sector. Selected programme delegates will also have the opportunity to attend industry networking events and training opportunities
“Young Gastech Delegates are exposed to incredible knowledge and advice that provide impetus when job seeking or advancing a career,” said Jonathan Oliver, Master of Chemical Engineering at the University of Surrey.
“I was fortunate to secure a graduate valuation engineer role recently and the Young Gastech experience certainly helped me gain a competitive edge. I left Young Gastech inspired, I am confident anyone else would too.”
