The Ohio-based company confirmed the news last week (12th March), stating the changes will be effective on new orders shipped on or after 1st May, or as contracts allow.
Detailing the changes, Worthington said prices on all heating and system tanks will advance 5-15%.
Further to that, prices on all steel portable, industrial cutting gas and all refrigerant refillable and recovery cylinders will advance 8%.
Commenting on the price hike, Jimmy Bowes, General Manager of the Industrial Products Business for Worthington Industries, said, “As raw materials and other market conditions continue to drive up our costs, we are forced to make adjustments.”
“We remain dedicated to meeting the needs of our customers and our country during these challenging times.”
