At the event, Praxair will deliver technical presentations as well as host a hospitality event in booth HB204.
Dr. Hisashi Kobayashi, Praxair’s Senior Corporate Fellow – Industrial Applications R&D, will present a technical paper at the event titled, ‘Future of Oxy-Fuel Glass Melting: Oxygen Production, Energy Efficiency, Emissions, and CO2 Neutral Glass Melting,’ on Tuesday 29th October at 11:00am.
The paper will have a focus on the oxy-fuel glass melting technology and future improvements to meet the challenge of carbon dioxide neutral glass melting.
Dr. Shrikar Chakravarti, Associate Director of Technology Commercialisation – Industrial Applications R&D, will also be present at the event. At the event, Chakravarti will discuss ‘Low Carbon Fuels for Glass Furnaces,’ at the GMIC Symposium on Thursday 31st October at 4:05pm.
His presentation will discuss the techno-economic viability of different low carbon fuel options, including hydrogen and biomass derived gaseous fuels.
