During the pandemic, Messer has maintained continuity of supply to NYC hospitals by drawing on its national network of air separation units (ASUs), delivery fleets, local service technicians, bulk emergency supply plans, and technical expertise to develop rapid response solutions.
Chis Ebeling, Executive Vice-President, Sales & Marketing, US Bulk at Messer, said, “Messer remains laser-focused on offering reliable bulk oxygen supply and emergency response systems.”
“We are focused solely on bulk gases, and our experienced team met hospitals’ supply challenges even as oxygen demand surged at rates exceeding five times baseline usage during the New York City outbreak. We increased oxygen production and maintained continuity of supply by reallocating distribution resources.”
In addition to its above efforts, Messer also deployed both engineers and technicians to customer locations, to implement creative technical solutions to ensure that hospitals maintained their oxygen supply, despite the increased demand.
Messer’s Hospital Services team also helped hospitals upgrade medical bulk equipment and increase capacity for future needs.
