The Tier One company was one of six in the chemical sector recognised with a distinction and the only silver class medallist.
The Sustainability Yearbook is launched by SAM, the unit of RobecoSAM which specialises in providing ESG data, ratings and benchmarking.
The distinction is Linde’s first recognition since the close of the merger between Linde AG and Praxair, Inc. Both companies have received recognition for sustainability performance through recurring inclusion on the World Dow Jone Sustainability Index.
“We are proud to receive this award from such a prestigious organisation,” said Anne Roby, Executive Vice-President of Linde.
“Both legacy companies have a history of strong ESG performance, and this recognition reinforces our commitment to advancing the sustainability our operations and our offerings as we form one Linde, creating even more long-term value for our stakeholders,” Roby concluded.
Results were based on the 2018 Corporate Sustainability Assessment, which assessed more than 2,500 companies across 60 industries, awarding recognition to 458 organisations from 36 countries.
