HTEC is a globally recognised leader in sustainable H2 fuel supply solutions for zero-emission fuel cell electric vehicles (FCEVs). HGP is a leading station owner and petroleum-product supplier operating more than 400 gas stations in Quebec; the company plans to open the province’s first H2 refuelling station in Quebec City within the next few months.
The terms of the LOI outline the steps HTEC and HGP will take to build a partnership to develop a retail H2 refuelling station network in Quebec and other regions in Canada. HTEC is building a six-station network to support the initial rollout of fuel cell electric vehicles in British Columbia, and opened Canada’s first retail H2 station in Vancouver in June. The knowledge and experience HTEC has developed in BC will help expedite the network rollout in Quebec. Station infrastructure in the province is needed to help car companies comply with Quebec’s recently introduced Zero Emission Vehicle (ZEV) mandate.
