The new station will see the refuelling of a 35-strong fleet of LNG trucks, resulting in an 800-tonne per year reduction in carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions and an 80% reduction in fine particles.
With a focus on sustainability, Esteban Rodriguez, Business Manager, Lipigas, commented on the use of LNG, saying, “LNG is a real option for reducing CO2 in long-distance heavy transport, thus contributing to sustainable development.”
The result of a combined effort between Lipigas, Transportes San Gabriel and AB InBev, the station is in the Linares, Maule Region of Chile at Transportes San Gabriel’s facilities.
