A period of National Mourning for Her Majesty the Queen has now started, following her passing yesterday (8thSeptember) at the age of 96.
An extraordinary woman, widely described as ‘the rock’ of the nation and who selflessly gave herself to her duties as the monarch, Queen Elizabeth II reigned from 1952 at the tender age of just 26, until her death yesterday – more than 70 years on the throne and the longest-serving monarch the UK has ever seen.
gasworld would like to place on record its thanks for this remarkable reign and seven decades of devoted service, and send it condolences to King Charles III and the rest of the Royal Family at this sad time.
