The 1.5 day Summit explores one of the biggest megatrends the industry faces – Industry 4.0 and the wave of digitisation sweeping through the business, from the ground up through to changes in business models and strategies.
The activity begins today with a sell-out table top exhibition programme of 23 key product, equipment and services innovators. Exhibition activity is currently underway, with strong footfall observed and many delegates already making the most of the networking and knowledge sharing opportunities this provides.
Prior to the Summit’s official opening and content agenda tomorrow, delegates will be treated to an evening of fine dining and networking at tonight’s Welcome Reception Dinner.
Chart Industries and VRV are among the event’s sponsors (Silver Sponsor) and Michael Blondin, Vice-President of Energy & Industrial Sales – MEA, India, Asia-Pacific, enthused, “gasworld is the place to be. There is nowhere else that I can accomplish so much in so little time, surrounded by our key partners in the region, both customers and suppliers, complemented by gasworld’s expert consultants who provide the latest regional analysis of the activities that interest us the most.”
“Chart-VRV are always on the front foot and looking to the future, so what better place to show that than at this first Future-Proofing Summit for the industry.”

More than 130 delegates from around the world, including strong ‘local’ participation from the Asia-Pacific region, have gathered for the Summit. Official proceedings get underway tomorrow, with an opening keynote talk from Linde plc Executive Board Member Sanjiv Lamba, followed by three pointed panel sessions exploring The Wave of Digitisation, Operational Change, and Future Gas Supply and Demand.
“I’m looking forward to sharing the stage with industry leaders to discuss the power of a digitised supply chain and the critical role of data capture for future proofing your business”
Chet Reshamwala, Anova
Among the speakers in that first session is Chet Reshamwala, CEO of Anova, a fellow Silver Sponsor of the Summit. Looking ahead, he commented, “gasworld has been a great partner to Anova through our brand relaunch.”
“I’m looking forward to sharing the stage with industry leaders to discuss the power of a digitised supply chain and the critical role of data capture for future proofing your business.”
gasworld’s Global Managing Editor, Rob Cockerill, has been instrumental in setting the agenda for the event and will also be speaking in the day’s opening session, adding, “With the industry in the midst of transformation at the hands of Industry 4.0 and the wave of digitisation and automation that brings, we are in the perfect place to discuss, debate and learn more about the opportunities this presents.”
“The Asia-Pacific region, and Singapore in particular, is known to be a hub of digital technologies and mindsets. Indeed, Singapore is widely regarded as the most technology-ready nation. What better place to tackle the current and future evolution in our industry than here in a region at the heart of this rapid change?”
“We’re proud to have a truly top line-up of speakers to discuss the business challenges and opportunities ahead, all of whom we extend our thanks to. The same goes for our sponsors and delegates that make these gatherings happen. I think it’s very telling that we have such a great turnout for this event – digitisation is a big talking point in the industry for us all. Let the discussion and debate begin!”
