The survey featured questions regarding respondents’ location, job title, professional certification, geographic location, workload and more. This year, the company adjusted its “lab types” and “organisation types” to be more descriptive.
The data from the survey highlights median annual base salary information for multiple industries and disciplines in the fields of metrology, and how those incomes differ between educational backgrounds, industry, and more.
This year’s report illustrates a 4% rise from last year in average reported salaries after relatively flat growth the previous year.
The annual workload saw significant growth compared to last year, with the majority of respondents reporting “heavy” or “excessive” workloads for the first time since Fluke Calibration began collecting the data.
In terms of gender, the results saw a decrease in the percentage of women within the calibration industry.
