The two organisations will collaborate on research and field demonstrations at CO2CRC’s Otway International Test Centre in Australia.
K-CCUS – a member-based organisation – was born from Korea’s Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy, in addition to private sector and academic stakeholders.
“This Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) recognises K-CCUS as an important partner in advancing break-through low emission technologies assisted through Australia’s International Partnership Program,” said Dr Matthis Raab, Chief Executive, CO2CRC.
The collaboration will accelerate both Korea and Australia’s net zero emission roadmaps through the upscaling or CCS technologies, carbon-to-product conversion, and direct air capture with large carbon storage (DACCS).
