The plant, which Anaergia will build, will receive the company’s first-ever renewable natural gas liquefaction system, in addition to its Triton digester, biogas upgrading system, and an on-site fuelling station.
Commenting on the supply agreement, Alessandro Massone, President of Sales for EMEA, Anaergia, said, “This is an important milestone for both Anaergia and Agriferr.”
“This underscores Anaergia’s strong market position in Italy while it provides Agriferr with the world’s best integrated approach for producing value from agricultural wastes.”
The plant marks Anaergia’s first sales of a system that will provide renewable LNG at a time when there is fast growing demand across Europe.
The terms of the agreement stipulates that Anaergia will build and operate the plant for four years and is expected to produce an approximate 2,000 tonnes of LNG per year from 2022.
