Published annually, the list is based on 141 ESG transparency and performance factors in eight pillars: climate change, employee relations, environment, financial, governance, human rights, stakeholders and society, and ESG performance.
The list recognises performance among 1,000 of the US’ largest companies.

Air Products aligns its corporate responsibility efforts under economic, environmental and social categories using its Grow, Conserve and Care sustainability frames and covers important sustainability based one feedback from key stakeholders.
In 2020, the industrial gas giant its Third by 30 goals to reduce its carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions intensity by one-third by 2030 from a 2015 baseline.
As well as being listed on the 100 Best Corporate Citizens list, Air Products has also been recognised by Barron’s as the top climate aligned company in its 2021 Ranking of the Most Sustainable Companies in America.
