The 350-bed hospital was constructed in an effort to help those suffering from the coronavirus pandemic in one of the most hit states of the US.
“An Air Products 9,000-gallon medical oxygen tank, as well as a 3000-gallon reserve tank and vaporisers that gasify the liquid oxygen were safely delivered and installed at the hospital,” Air Products said in a social post.
“We’re proud of the work that helped transform the USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center into a temporary hospital in Queens, NYC at such a critical time.”
Medical oxygen at the facility began being delivered to patients on Monday 13th April.
