The ASU will be replaced with a new high-efficiency unit at Air Liquide Japan’s on-site liquid production base in Southern Kyushu.
The design for the replacement has been completed and construction is scheduled to begin this year.
No information of the capacity, improved range for production efficiency or invested amount has been disclosed.
The Air Liquide group has a target to reduce the carbon intensity by more than 30% by 2025 comparing with that in 2015, reports The Gas Review. The investment is in line with the target.
Air Liquide Japan is planning to optimise its supply by upgrading ASUs, enhancing efficiency and introducing internet of things (IoT) technologies and aims to reduce the energy consumption.
