Regarded as a specialist in treating patients with severe pathologies including respiratory diseases, Betamed operates a specialised clinic in Chorzów, Silesia with over 100 beds for patients who require mechanical ventilation.
Over recent years Air Liquide has established itself as a force in the area of mechanical ventilation, which now sees the company marking a ‘new stage’ in the development of its home healthcare business in Poland.
Commenting on the acquisition, Diana Schillag, Executive Committee Member, Air Liquide, said, “We are pleased to welcome to Air Liquide Healthcare the teams of Betamed, recognised for their expertise in the monitoring and care of patients with severe pathologies.”
She added that the company’s ambition is to ‘best meet’ the needs of patients and healthcare professionals.
With Betamed’s 2020 revenue totalling almost €25m, Air Liquide stated that the purchase will broaden its range of services across its care sector.
