AIGA has been sharing the latest updates from the World Health Organiation (WHO), Centers for Diease Control and Prevention (CDC) and other reliable sources, as well as publishing documents, safety guidelines and safety posters to address the concerns of the industrial gases industry.
AIGA said its board appreciates the efforts by the industrial gases industry in meeting high demand for medical oxygen and other medicinal gases during this challenging period.
Despite adjusting to the demands of working from home and concerns arising from Covid-19, AIGA’s Medical Gases Work Group (MGWG) members have worked expeditiously to publish two safety guidelines and a safety poster related to safe handling and disinfection of medical cylinders and gas packages.
AIGA’s Technical Committee and MGWG are continuing to review the Covid-19 situation and will determine any further action required that could help the gas industry during the pandemic.
