The company provides a range of valves for the industrial gas sector, from technical gas and medical gas applications to refrigeration and fire extinguishing, in addition to pressure regulators for propane, butane and natural gas installations.
Manufactured in Denmark, Müller’s fill connectors are supplied to ‘all major gas companies world-wide’ with raw materials sourced from European suppliers.
Speaking exclusively to gasworld for our 12 Days of Content feature, Bo Müller Christensen, Sales and Marketing Director at Müller commented on the company’s growth drivers, ambitions for 2022, and 2021 highlights.
gasworld (GW): What has been Müller’s most exciting application or growth driver this year?
Bo Muller Christensen (BC): One of our products that has been well received by the market this year has been our 617 lightweight industrial VIPR valve.
GW: What are three highlights for the company in 2021?
BC: Müller has worked with the UN on goals for sustainability, including Target 7.2 – by 2030, to increase substantially the share of renewable energy in the global energy mix, Target 8.2 – to achieve higher levels of economic productivity through diversification, technological upgrading and innovation, including through a focus on high-value added and labour-intensive sectors, Target 8.8 – protecting labour rights and promoting safe and secure working environments for all workers, and Target 12.5 – by 2030 to substantially reduce waste generation through prevention, reduction, recycling and reuse.
GW: Is there anything you’re looking forward to in the industrial gas equipment sector for 2022?
BC: Reducing carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions and material usage within the sector.
GW: With the recent COP26 summit now behind us, are there any exciting decarbonisation or renewables related developments in the pipeline for next year?
BC: We have already started and launched our valve type 453, which reduces CO2 emissions.
GW: In the spirit of the time of year and theme of the series, if you could make one Christmas wish for the industrial gases sector, what would it be and why?
BC: I wish that the industrial gases sector will play a key role in solving decarbonisation related issues because I see this as one of the biggest challenges our planet is facing.
